Our car was pulling to the right, so we thought it needed an alignment. They checked the alignment and it was within spec, so they rotated the tires (had lots of tread) and no more pulling. They explained that sometimes a tire can cause that and did not charge us for the work.

Negligent at best, perhaps dishonest. Pricey.
I took my vehicle to LK’s on a Monday, with a faulty alternator. I requested both in writing, and verbally, to please check the alternator. On Tuesday morning, they informed me “the battery needs replacing.” Later Tuesday, they assured me everything else checked out OK, except for two belts, which I agreed to have replaced. I also agreed to an oil change. The total was in excess of $600 for the battery, belts, and oil change.
The car experienced the exact same failure on Wednesday. I took it elsewhere for a second opinion. The alternator test failed. The car has functioned quite well since replacement.
I sincerely hope that this was just a fluke, an oversight, and not that LK’s makes it a habit of taking advantage of people, and putting them in danger on the road.
