Shane O'Connell, the manager, said they don't do mufflers, do specialize in brakes (and alignments from their name), but do "total automotive repair," which in my (emergency) case, meant a new vehicle speed sensor. He also graciously helped decode a "check engine" signal that had nothing to do with the broken sensor. Shane was recommended by another satisfied customer and I was really glad he was. Shane spent a lot of time trying to find my broken sensor locally and when it could only be ordered from Seattle for next day delivery, he drove me to the bus station so I could catch a bus home and had the car all ready when I arrived at the shop the next afternoon. When I returned after the "check engine" light came on, he spent considerable time decoding it and clearing it and explaining that it referred to an emissions situation that wouldn't interfere with my driving home.

Alignment & Brakes Plus does great work for a very fair price. The "Plus" in the name is important; Shane does much more than brakes and suspension work. He is very knowledgeable and honest. Take your vehicle to him or give him a call first. He'll give you a reliable estimate of the price and when the work will be completed. On the rare occasion your problem might be handled better somewhere else he'll tell you straight up. Right now he is running an oil change special that is competitively priced with any of the "Quickie Lube" places just to get a chance to earn your business. I went to him based on a friend's recommendation and I'm very happy I did, I'm confident you will feel the same way. Shane is a knowledgeable mechanic you can trust. He'll save you money and do the job right the first time. And you can feel good about supporting a locally-owned independent business!

Shane is incredibly honest. I had my Honda towed in as it looked as if head gasket was blown. I thought I was in for a ton of repair bills. Shane had it for a day, figured out that it had been overfilled with oil. He ended up cleaning it out, and charging me under 100 for the whole thing. He has given accurate advice even when he could stand to lose money by telling me.
