I want to reccomend this shop very highly, I have one story
to relay to you and this was my first experience with this
mechanic. I took my Nissan pickup to him after I had done a
head gasket on it my self and had the head planed. I couldnt
get it running right and he took it in. I told him I had
about three hundred dollars to throw at it. He seemed to
take a long time and when I checked in with him he told me
he was having a difficult time and wasnt finding the problem
, that all the obvious things seemed to be correct related
to my head gasket work. He checked with a couple other
mechanic friends of his and tried a number of approaches but
kept comming up dry. He went to the dealer and consulted
with a nissan mechanic there and they solved the issue. when
I came in to pick up the truck and pay for the work it only
came to $150.00. I told him that he spent way more time than
that and he should charge me a more fair rate to him self.
He said No and qualified it with it isnt my responsibility
to educate him and it was a repair that should have taken a
couple hours and his lack of knowlege wasnt my
responsibility. This is a mechanic that has been in the auto
repair business all his life and is just a principled
person. he always gets the job done and I never feel
overcharged or handled. Thanks for the forum to recognize
this shop, Jim

My husband and I had just finished paying close to $1,500 to get our car fixed and it left us pretty broke. While driving the car, it was making an awful rattling sound. I had called a couple car places to see if any of them could do a free estimate and Tim said that he would, but he closed at 5:00 PM. We had to get the oil changed in a different car at 3:00, which took over an hour. By the time we got to his shop, it was a few minutes past closing time.
Instead of telling us to come back later, he diagnosed the problem for us. One of the parts that had recently been replaced near the front tires was loose (on both sides). He drove it around the block and put it on the lift, then tightened it for us. Unfortunately, we had forgotten our credit card in the other car (the one that needed the oil change). We offered for one of us to stay there while the other went to get it, but all he charged us for his time was the cash in my pocket, which was $6 and some change.
Very friendly, very honest. Easily one of the best mechanics I've ever been to. Would highly recommend.
