Mr. Wood is always honest. He'll tell you straight up if he thinks the car should be junked if is pretty close. He has become busy enough now to where it is a little hard to get the car in to see him, but that's because he's good. It's a family business, which makes it nice. I had a 92 escort(piece of junk) that he worked on. He always did a great job.

We just moved to town. We took my dodge to the dealership. Our complaint was the air conditioner was not blowing cool air and the alignment was off. The dealership took forever and finally called us with a long, complicated explanation. Bottom line it was going to be $700.00 to fix. Also, they happened to find another problem with the oil pan which was going to cost $600 to fix. We said no thank you, paid $50 for the estimate and left. I found Woods on this website. We told him the exact same problem, we did not mention the oil pan or anything else. Well, they were very nice, prompt and guess what they fixed the problem for $66.00 , our air is blowing cool and they found a nail in our tire and repaired it. They didn't find anything else wrong. Problem fixed.

These guys are great. It is a small shop and kind of hard to find at first, but they are defnintely honest about any work they need to do. I had them replace both of my front axles and one of them turned out to be a bum part out of the box, stranding me on the side of the road on a Friday night. Mr. Wood and his son came out to find me and towed me back (on a flatbed!) and brought my car to me at my house the next morning. Highly recommended.

This shop is a family owned shop. I like that I can speak directly to the owner/mechanic and don't have a middle person like I've experienced at dealer service departments. They diagnosed my problem with my 'wheel/brake noise' and called me prior to repair to let me know my options and costs. The car was ready when they promised which is important to me since I am in a wheelchair and this is the only wheelchair accessible vehicle we have.
