Dan, the owner, is the honest person I am referring to. I don't have many dealings with the other mechanics. On the few occasions I have needed a ride back to my home, Dan or his wife have taken me there. There is no shuttle service; they do it because they are nice people. The shop is currently open Monday through Friday (8AM-6PM). In my experience, Dan takes the short end of the $ stick if the repair cost comes out to be more than his estimate. If you take the time to listen, Dan takes the time to explain the problem(s) with your vehicle(s). I recently took my vehicle back after service because something wasn't quite right - turns out the mechanic had missed a spot :-) Dan charged me $9 for the part and nothing for labor because he admitted they "should have caught it the first time." HIGHLY recommended!

Through the last 10 years have taken all manner of vehicles to Loudoun Auto Repair. We've found them to be honest, and reasonable in price. On one occasion, they made sure to point out that -- though they could do the work required on our Dodge Van -- we should take it across the street to the dealership since it was still under warranty!

My left front diff seal leak was leaking. The mechanic inspected and said the axle had popped out a bit, and that was probably only thing needed was to pop it back in. The work order charged me for a seal and replacement. At home, I checked the grease level as the work order did not show grease added. It was very low, 1/3 full maybe. Noticed that the seal area was undisturbed, the bolts on the axle tube were untouched and covered in grime and grease. I had to go back Friday to get grease added to the front diff, and I was charged additional for that. That shows the shop’s work estimate did not include adding grease after ‘replacing the seal’! That is unprofessional. There is not enough detail on the bill to show work done, and part number of part used, etc.. They use the method of generic job description, followed by the charge. They should give the detail other shops do. The mechanics were OK, no complaints about them. But I paid to have the seal changed, and I don't believe they did that. There is something is wrong with the way he charges the customers. Avoid this shop.

BEWARE DO NOT GO HERE Charged new parts put in junk yard used parts. Internal parts inside a door thought we would not see them.... but 9 months later had issues and saw they were old used parts. OVERCHARGING also. They act really nice and get you right in perfect to be taking advantage of. DO YOUR HOMEWORK on parts yes everyone has to make money but trust me we were overcharged about 400 and STILL DID NOT GET NEW PARTS! Drive or Run as Fast as you can from here. 1400 in the hole!
