Repair quotes were given in advance and adhered to. When we were getting ready to pick up the car, we asked for a "rough estimate" of the total bill. In their calculation, Autoscandia forgot to include the cost of some fairly expensive work which we had authorized, and it was obvious from their estimate. When we arrived to pick-up the car, Autoscandia offered to "split the difference" between their rough estimate and the total bill, giving us about a 15% discount, which seemed pretty reasonable to us. Great people, they do fine work, and they managed to squeeze us into their busy schedules when we wanted a mechanical inspection of used Volvos we were thinking of buying.

I have taken my 2000 BMW 323ci to Auto Scandia for years now, and I wouldn't consider going anyplace else. As soon as my other BMW, a 135, is no longer under warranty, I'll take that car there, as well. The place is clean and pleasant, the staff is infinitely polite, willing to help, quick, and competent, and they have taken wonderful care of my old car. They understandably enjoy a splendid reputation around here. They deserve it. My only regret is that they don't service Hondas. My daughter has one, and I don't have anyone to take care of it.

I was a fan of AutoScandia until my last visit. I have an older car that I wanted to do what was necessary but not fix things to the point where I spent a lot of money because the car is not worth it. I took the car in while I was a away from vacation giving them a week to do the work. I spent a lot of time explaining to the service manager what I needed and the threshold money wise what I was willing to do. I wrote it all down as well. They then called me after they looked it over and got a call from a separate service manager who obviously was not briefed by the service manager I left the car with and didn't read the note I left for them. He rattled off a bunch of things that were wrong with it and the hundred or thousands of dollar it would cost to fix. He couldn't answer questions about the relationship between items if were in the same area to fix thereby reducing the labor cost. I got pretty frustrated and just asked them to the the utmost essentials and did the rest somewhere else. When I picked up my car, another customer was in the lobby who had some work done including an oil change and said the oil was dirty and basically accused them of not doing the work he paid for. The service manager basically just kept repeating that the technician's notes said it was done. Not good.

They have been honest and competent, but not cheap. I have used them for many years and will continue to do so.
