After having the opprotunity to give away lots of money to area mechanics for subpar work I was very glad to have finally recieved a recommendation from a friend on a good , honest mechanic. I took in my 94 chevy corsica which had lost a lot of power and to get an inspection. they called after an hour or so and let me know that the car could be fixed and inspected for $130 including fixing my door handle which no longer opened my door after fighting with it while the door was frozen shut last winter. Needless to say I was very impressed as some mechanics like to charge almost 100 dollars to diagnose the simplist problems.

I had a leak in my power steering system on mt Camaro. I took it to the Chevrolet dealer and they wanted $800+ to fix the problem. A friend recommended I take the car to Shorty's. They priced the work at $264. Since it was my only transportation, I told them I had to wait for the repairs to be done. They ordered the parts, and had me come in the first thing in the morning a couple of days later. They completed the repairs in short order. They said there was an adjustment in the cost of the repairs. Since it did not take as long as the manual said it would, the cost was only $164!!!!! They were not going to charge me for time they did not spend working on the vehicle. Since then I have had them perform other repairs to my complete satisfaction, and always at a reasonable cost.
