It is true that Ton sometimes does work for free. This is nice but can make you feel guilty. So I bring them food. They also have very nice orchids in the office--something to look at when the car isn't finished.

International Imports is an excellent autoshop which exclusively works on Saabs. If you are a fellow Saab owner, you know that it is hard to find a good Saab mechanic. Ton and his crew are the best in the Charlottesville area. They are honest, hardworking and have even done a few minor things to my car for free! I actually purchased a new Saab from Ton and was drawn to do so because it is so hard to find a good mechanic.

Excellent shop that works exclusively on Saabs. They do great work in timely fashion and for very reasonable price. Additionally, Ton has a huge collection of dead/totaled cars that often serve as source for used-good parts that can lower the cost of repair! Highly recommended!

Ton put a used engine and new clutch in my car last year. The car has run like a top since. I've been going to Ton for 7 years whenever I'm unable to do the work myself.

I am a proud owner of a Saab and have thus had the misfortune of trying to deal with Ton, the owner of this shop. He has a monopoly over the Saab know-how in town so he doesn't need to care about customer service and can overcharge freely. I've taken my car there 5-6 times (from putting in a new engine to replacing the air vent), out of necessity. Regardless of how large or small the repair, you will get gouged. If you absolutely have to use him, buy you own parts and just pay him for his exuberantly priced labor. This shop doesn't respect your time; the last straw for me was when I was told 3 times (over phone and in person once there) to drop my car off at 8 am and that it will be done around 10:30...come 10:30 and I get a call that he hasn't even started working on it. Ton basically lied to me, saying he can take my car in, when he was actually too busy to do so, but he didn't want to lose out on some extra cash and his greed got to him. He did not handle being called out on his bs well. Avoid this shop at all costs, everyone there is beyond incompetent. Update: Upon becoming aware of the negative review, the owner, Ton Dinh, called me (at work!!) to harass me and threaten me with legal action unless I remove the review, the audacity! Again, stay away from this place at all costs!
