After having tuneups on several of our trucks, and some
diagnostics run on a recent problem, we've always found
Keith, the manager to be extremely interested in finding and
fixing a problem, OR recommending some one who would do it
if it was not something he handled.
Keith has always been enthusiastic, prompt and very fair and
above board in our dealings with him. Several of the shops
around, including at least one who is on your list of
recommended mechanics, have referred us to Precision Tune in
the past.
It's too bad most auto specialists aren't as capable as
Keith is.
We recently had our 1989 Silverado, 5.7 L pickup just quit
on us. We towed it (30 miles) to Keith and left it in front
of his door. The next morning when I called, he had already
run the license through his records and knew who the truck
belonged to.
He fixed the immediate problem and got the truck running by
noon that day, but told us we had a serious problem- zero
compression on #7 cylinder and very poor on 3 and 5. I drove
the truck back to our house and pulled the heads. Blown head
gasket and tuliped valve. Had the valve work done, replaced
all the parts and drove it back to Keith, where he tuned it
for no charge.
