I used Orient Auto when I lived in San Antonio for years. I was VERY impressed by the competence and honesty of Bob and Dave, the two mechanics I worked with the most. They helped me keep my 8 or 10 year old Hondas running without charging me a lot of money. They always gave it to me straight and looked for ways to save me money: best mechanics I've known. Here's an example of what they did. After rebuilding my engine, my car was overheating. I told them that I thought it was because the fan wasn't coming on, but they said they were sure the radiator was plugged up. We disagreed, but Bob said "I'll take the radiator out and have it flushed, and if that doesn't fix it, I'll pay for it". He did, and it didn't...it turned out to be the fan after all. But he kept his word and did a good job fixing the fan.

I like these guys. They have told me I didn't need work done that I thought I did. They sometimes take longer than they say due to having to wait for parts but what can you expect. They have come in over $1000 less than the dealer on a subaru repair!!!

The fellows at the shop have been very helpful and honest in maintaning my '94 Land Cruiser. I have recommended them to several friends and everyone has been satisfied. Two friends in particular had their cars at the dealerships and were getting really high estimates for repairs; I begged them to not let the dealership rake them over the coals and instead to take their cars to Orient Auto. Needless costs were avoided. Everyone was happy. These guys are the real deal.

Owner-run shop. Takes pride in work. Honest. Has turned down work (car makes) he is not expert in. Has correctly diagnosed problems other shops have missed. I have a lot of confidence in these guys.

This is a family owned business and is worth checking out. They have very reliable, personalized service at a great price. They are fair and honest. I have recommended them to the people in my office and nobody has been disappointed.

Great family business that has been around since 1981. Always honest, reasonable and take the time to explain the repairs. I found out about this shop through a friend and have always been very pleased. I highly recommend this shop.

Been coming here since the owners were employees. They (brothers) bought the shop 2 or 3 decades ago and have continued in the same tradition. Honest, straight shooters, who like to fish but don't aspire to yachting and their boat is paid for. They aren't bargain basement pricing - you get what you pay for here, no shortcuts or shady deals and they stand behind their work. I can't comment on how they would treat me if I were a female because I've never been one (so far).
