Since doing business at Anderson Garage, I keep my cars longer, and expect more trouble free miles (200,000+). They've done excellent work on all makes of cars for my parents and my four children.

The Anderson Garage has been around for as long as we lived in San Antonio, for over 16 years. They have worked on our 1988 Honda Accord and 1992 Honda Accord. Brakes , brake cylinders and piston work (master and slave replacement). CV joints, tune-up, etc. They are very reliable and reasonable in price. Will give fixed price estimates if the scope of work is very clear. They will also tell you if they are sure about something. They are competent and courteous and provide prompt service. The owner sends the mechanics for regular trainings (I heard this from a mechanic). They seem to have a very low turn over in personnel and the mechanics seem happy working there. I believethat they work on all different models (even though we had only Hondas).

I didn't have anything MAJOR done, but I did have my rear brakes replaced (the salty North had killed them). And my wife's Mercury had an obscure little electrical problem that had kept the van from starting on rare occaisions, and the guys at Anderson Garage found it and fixed it in short order. And the price was fair, too. They even stayed open a few minutes late as I plowed through rush hour traffic to get repair paid for so I could pick it up later that evening. Good guys. My car repairs are infrequent, but I'll bring the next one to them, too.

Horrible customer service- VERY rude! We have been long time customers of Cambridge Auto which can be pricey. Their work is awesome but just cost a lot so we decided that when I needed new brakes we would give Anderson a try since they were supposed to be a "family" operated business and thought they should be able to get the job done right. So I dropped my car off first thing in the morning and was told it would be ready same day. The man at the desk was by no means an overly friendly person (no "good morning, how can I help you" kind of person) I left and went on my day. Around close to 2pm, I called and asked the person who answered for a status on my car. I was told that he was just finishing the paperwork and was going to be calling me within the hour. So I waited a little and then headed over. When I walked in, the man at the desk asked me what I was there for and I told him that I was there for my car and understood it might not be ready just yet and would wait. He looked annoyed and said okay. After an hour and a half of waiting I asked how much longer it would be since I was told the car would be ready within the hour when I had called. Right away, the man got ugly with me and told me that I misunderstood him and that he meant he was just getting ready to call me with a quote and that they hadnt even started on my car. I could not believe it. What made me the most upset was his attitude towards me. He was so ugly and acted like I was an idiot. I got up and called my husband outside. We decided not to have them work on the car. When I went inside and told him this, he told me (of course with an attitude) that he didnt understand why I was so upset and that he never told me the car was ready. Let me get something clear....I understand their could have been a mis-communication, and that he accidently led me to think the car was ready. What makes this situation so infuriating was his attitude and lack of customer service the ENTIRE time. Had he genuinely apologized for the mix up I would have had my husband pick me up and left them to finish the job but they lost our business and anyone elses that I can spread the word to, because of their horrible customer service and rudeness. As I walked out of the shop, the man told me "thank you and have a good day" very mockingly. I could not believe what a jerk this man was. BEW
