Karl Dillard and his mechanics are honest, patient and just plain nice, as well as being good at their job. My whole family uses the Oil Well, with the following cars: a "vintage" Subaru Trooper, a five year old Mazda Truck, Lexus coupe, Ford Mustang and newer Ford Minivan. His mechanics are certified and experienced, 3 years to 20- plus years. The "new" guys are Tech College trained and Karl has all the computers and equipment to fix just about anything. He gives alternative solutions when appropriate; i.e., dealer supplied parts vs. good secondary manufacturer parts. We use him for routine maintenance as well as big jobs like replacing the power steering pump on my 2000 SC300 with 54,000 miles. He and his guys have nursed the Subaru through many crises and he promised to tell us when it's time for her to go. Karl helped me pick out tires for the Lexus, had them delivered and put them on at his shop. He saved me time, money and worry that some tire place would sell me tires that wouldn't last or be correct. I could go on and on (already have) but bottomline it's great to have honest, trustworthy, small businessmen like Karl and his crew in the neighborhood. Buy local!

Karl and his crew are most honest. I know nothing about cars. I take my car in thinking I have a big problem and they tell me it's a minor issue. They truly try to save you money and only fix what needs fixing. They tell me it can wait if it can wait. I trust them completely. I've dealt with them for 6 years. My Altima has 240,000 miles on it with the original motor and transmission. They've kept the car going with fairly minor, inexpensive repairs. Excellent shop.
