Jimmy, the owner, is honest, kind, helpful and understanding. He fixes problems quickly. He is very honest and I would trust him with any car.

I brought my 2000 Camry into K Auto last year after reading quotes from these files. My Engine light was on and I had no idea why. He diagnosed it with EGR valve problem, cleaned it out but light came back on at times. He told me the valve was not bad and did a deeper clean, light still on and off. He only charged me $25 at that time but light was still on. He said it would not cause bad damage since the valve was okay, so I let it go. Overtime the light stayed on constantly so I took it to someone else who said EGR valve was not failing completely but it would (and it did eventually and they quoted me nearly $600 for EGR valve replacement. I called K Auto back and he told me it was the solenoids that regulate the valve and he fixed it for $148.00 This guy is a gem! I will never go anywhere else again.

It is rare when you get your car repaired and don't feel like you have been ripped off. Jimmy does any work quickly, accurately and at a reasonable price. I have recommended his shop to at least a dozen friends, and everyone is completely satisfied.

Jimmy is honest and bright. He can think beyond plugging the car into the diagnostic computer. He fixed an engine problem for $450 when we were quoted $1800 by another shop. Now, I always try to buy a Japanese model because I care more about having found an honest mechanic than about the make and model of car.

I found K Auto Repair and owner/mechanic Jimmy Sookasem through recommendations on this page. Customers' assessments were right on. I got great service at a fair price. When I got the car back for the first time, it had another problem that was almost certainly coincidental because it was unrelated to the water pump and timing belt replacement Jimmy did for me. Still, he bent over backwards to be fair, offering (without prompting) to charge only for parts on the second repair. As a result, Jimmy now has a customer for life and I am telling everyone I know about K Auto Repair.

Jimmy, the owner, is a 'straight shooter'. When things are not to his liking, he will let you know. Also, he works ONLY on Japanese cars. His mecanics are pleasant and competent.

I have been taking my cars to K-Auto for over 20 years. The owner, Jimmy Sookasem, is extremely honest, courteous, and has always tried to have the repairs finished the same day. He and his mechanics are very good at finding the problem and fixing it the first time. In the rare case where a replacement part has failed the repair was handled quickly with apologies for the inconvenience. I always recommend K- Auto to anyone I know with a Japanese/Korean auto.

We moved to Houston in June and two weeks later the AC went out on my '91 Honda. I checked your recommendations and went to K Auto Repair at 1118 Montrose. I left the car and was called a couple hours later with the bad news about the AC. I thought the price was reasonable for the work that needed to be done and the car was ready when promised. Two months later the ABS and Emergency brake lights started coming on at odd times and I dropped off the car. When I stopped in to pick it up there was NO CHARGE! (as in no $$$ owed) He said it just needed brake fluid. The AC and brakes work fine. I am totally satisfied with the work done. LAW

They worked on my Mazda Miata for 13 years and kept it in immaculate condition. The employees are long-tenured, reliable, and Jimmy is absolutely impeccable in the good work the shop produces.
