Because this shop is VERY close to my home, and its name implies Honesty & Fairness, I took both of our vehicles there when we first moved into the neighborhood. Initially for State Inspection certification, and then for oil changes. Each time one of our cars was in their possession they called to tell me that the "found some needed work to be done". The first time I declined it because it had only been 15K miles since my 100K Service in my old neighborhood. The second time, on my wife's car, it cost me $1,500 to fix what they "found". During this visit they replaced spark plugs that only had 18K miles on them for a cost of $278. They also told me I needed NEW Rr. Brake Rotors on my car because the new cars have rotors so thin (for weight savings) that they can not be "turned" to resurface them. I have since found out from a GM dealer; and my new mechanic, that it's common practice to still turn Rr. Rotors for my vehicle. That decision cost me an extra $555. Subsequently, I've had other work done by another garage for a Savings of $300 over Christian Brothers quote. I will have more work done for a savings of $400 over what I was quoted by this Christian Brothers location, and I will AVOID spending $1,200 that they told me was needed on my wife's car, and subsequently determined to NOT be needed by my new mechanic.
