I've used this shop for about 20 years now, and have come to trust the opinions and work of the owner and mechanics. Several of my co-workers have asked me to recommend an auto mechanic and I always point them to Mustang Auto. Some of them now drive several miles to bring in their cars for service, and they've all become loyal customers. One lady was having trouble with her brakes, and came to me looking for advice on a mechanic. She had gone to several shops for a diagnosis and estimate. Most shops said they didn't really know what the problem was, but for $600-1000 they could fix it. They wanted to replace the brakes, straighten axles, and other stuff. She took it to Mustang, they ground her discs, and the total bill was about $75. Problem fixed. Scam avoided. I've got a bunch of other stories like that. These folks are honest and fair ... and competent. This is not part of a national chain. They're a one location shop, and the employees have all been there for years.

I used Mustang Automotive (James Harkness) for a number of years and always found him to be a great mechanic. He is honest and never tries to sell you work you don't need. There were a few times where he installed some remanufactured parts that didn't perform as warranted, and he replaced them free with no hassles whatsoever. A great, Christian mechanic. Too bad he isn't closer to home.

Mustang fixes all of our cars and since several of them are quite old it is a job. They fix things well and it stays fixed and they have reasonable rates when it is fixable. They are also quick to say if they cannot fix the problem and have a name of a honest shop to go to. Our latest job has been a 1987 Ford Tempo and they keep trying to tell my husband to get rid of it and not sell it to a customer of theirs as they do not want to see it again. The last time we had it in they could not find what was wrong so did not charge us inspite of the time spent on trying to find the cause.

James, Scott and Greg have worked on 2 Fords, an Isuzu, a Chevy and a Pontiac and I have no complaints. They were recommended by a friend in 1999 and I have been using them ever since. If they can't fix it, the shops that they refer customers to are competent and stand by their work too. They are a refreshing change from dealerhip repairs.

I have taken my Toyota pickup to Mustang Auto for everything from a tune-up to fixing oil leaks and AC problems. The guys at the shop are friendly, helpful, informative, and honest. I would recommend them (and have) to anyone who is in the area! Thanks!

Mustang is a great shop. The guys are honest and excellent mechanics. I've gone in knowing what I think should be done only to have them tell me no on some of the items because they weren't needed. They could have billed me far more by just completing my list. They do good work in a timely manner. They are the only shop to go to. I will DEFINITELY continue using them and recommending them. Definitely 5 stars and HIGHLY recommended.
