I really like these guys. Once I thought I was having brake problems and they inspected and sprayed them clean, all fixed, no charge!

First of all, the owner and chief mechanic, Emil, is a CAR GENIUS. Over the years, he has worked on many family cars for me including Swedish, German and Japanese imports. All were repaired with stunning results and at affordable prices. He even works on older model imports. I have seen older classics including Alfa-Romeo's, MGs, Jags, Fiats, Opels, Rolls Royces, Triumphs, Austin-Healeys, Benzes, Ferraris, all kinds down there. Some of these were fifty years old! I have been so pleased along the way, that in this time as his customer, I have purchased three cars through him without a single bad experience. I often recommend him to friends and they always come back to me raving about his skills and work ethic. He and his team work quickly but accurately. He keeps you well- informed of the progress on the vehicle. When he says it will be done in a day, he means it. This guy knows his cars inside and out. I think he could work on them with a blindfold on. Not only does he possess raw talent, but his personality is a rare one. He is friendly and down to earth, speaking to you in a Slavic accent punctuated with some NY influence that he picked up while living there for a number of years. Emil is extremely knowledgeable and an honest and fair mechanic you can definitely trust.

Emil Ramovish is the owner and he knows his cars. He loves working on import engines just for the fun of it. He was a top mechanic for Honda for ten years and claims if you take a Honda apart and put all the parts in a bucket he can put it back together again (I believe him). He really wants the car to run the way it was designed and he has seen about ever type of problem. Very reasonable prices and fixes things along the way at no charge just because it bothers him to not have it they way it should be. He did my 90K belt change and valve adjustment (with seals, rollers, waterpump, etc.) on my 95 Honda Accord EX with genuine honda parts for a great deal less than the 5-6 other places I called. He is one of those mechanics that you search for and you trust completely. The neighboorhood is a little rough and the place has a lot of old cars around, but the work and prices are great and you will not meet a nicer mechanic. His website is

I have taken my problematic VW to Emil for years and he fixes it right every time. His knowledge and love of cars is unmatched as is his hilarious personality. Who knew I could actually enjoy spending time at a repair shop? I know of people who drive their cars hundreds of miles across state lines to have him work on them. They do so with good cause. I find that his work on complicated, rare cars is just as detailed and high quality as a simple tune up on a Camry. He's done both for me countless times and I'm more than pleased with the results.

Emil and his team were wonderful! When I pulled up, Emil immediately gave me his full attention and began diagnosing the problem. As promised, he called the same day with the estimate and full diagnosis with a time frame and as promised completed the work all as I was told. He even did this with my pocketbook in mind, since I was in a rental, and he didn't want me to have to pay for the rental over the weekend. Great team! You can trust what they tell you and the work they do. As a female, this is very important and I believe I received the same treatment as any other customer - new, repeat, male, or female.

Emil loved working on my Landrover. After giving me a price range and then finding a lot, lot more to do, he still came in less than his original top end quote. I feel that he puts a lot of pride into his work and my car runs better than ever. His honesty is so refreshing.

We love Emil and Autotech. He's a gem, a truly gifted mechanic and as honest as the day is long. The front lot is packed full of cars and the garage itself is immaculate. Both should tell you everything you need to know. For all Volkswagen owners out there--he has successfully gotten the check engine light on our 1996 Volkswagen Jetta to turn off for nearly a year so far for the first time in over a decade. All you older Jetta owners out there will know that this feat qualifies Emil, frankly, as a miracle worker. Go to him. He's amazing.
