Harris fixed two persistent and irritating problems on our old Tercel wagon that had baffled the dealer and several other mechanics. He made a nominal charge for both repairs as they were either simple adjustments or minor parts replacements. Later, we took our 87 Toyota PU to him for its 50,000 mile service. We expected it to cost over $300, but he only charged us about $150 because he said it didn't need all of the work. As a result of that event, my wife will not let me take her Pickup truck to anyone else, for anything.

Harris was the lead mechanic at a local Toyota dealership in Memphis, TN. Several years ago he went into business for himself and has since moved to a larger shop and added more help (ASE cert. etc.). My father-in-law turned us on to him when he had a Toyota Land Crusier back in the late 1980's. As an ex-police Lt. with good connections around town we valued his advice. Since we started using Harris we have found him to be competent, fair, and he suggests ways to combine repairs and routine maint. which reduce the labor costs. For instance, our 1985 Camry had close to 120,000 miles on it and had a slight oil leak from under the engine. Instead of going in and fixing just the leak, Harris pointed out that the timing belt was due to be changed soon, and that he'd have to tear into the engine anyway to get at both the leak and the timing belt. His suggestion was to watch the leak until time for the new timing belt and then take care of both problems at once. This saved us the labor cost of tearing the engine down twice within a short period of time, and we only had to add a little oil in the meantime. His shop is located at 5290 Elmore Road Memphis, TN 38134 (901) 385-7866

I brought my 97 Toyota Tacoma to Harris when the check engine light came on. The dealer had wanted $85.00 just to asses the problem. Harris checked it out and told me it was the O2 sensor. He said wait until the light comes back on and we will go ahead and replace all three sensors at once....no charge. He is fair and honest, and that is hard to find in any businness. Recommend him to anyone with a Toyota of Nissan.

I took my Toyota Corolla to Harris based on a recommendation
from a co-worker. I expected a new clutch at least. It turns
out that what was feeling like a slipping clutch at low
speeds, was in fact a bad ignition wire, causing one piston
to miss. The correct diagnosis was made, and the repair
cost was fair and reasonable. I never would have had this
experience at a dealer. There is only one place I will take
my Toyota.

Mr. Quon was absolutely wonderful. We live in Tulsa, OK,
and my son is attending school in Memphis - quite a
distance. He was having trouble with his rather old Toyota
overheating. He explained the repairs thoroughly to us and
fixed the problem in excellent time. We will certainly
maintain a long-term relationship with his shop for our
son's car. Put our minds and pocketbook at ease from far
away - invaluable! Thanks Mr. Quon!

Harris Quon runs a very reputable shop in Memphis. My 2004
Altima had a engine misfire on cylinder one, and I took it to
his shop on two separate occasions, each time after a misfire
incident the previous day. He could not recreate the problem
either time, but the second time, he swapped the first and
second ignition coils, and he gave me my keys with no
additional charge. You can't get more honest/fair than that! I
was eventually able to get my car to the shop while the
problem was occurring, and he fixed me up with a new ignition
coil in a timely manner and for a fair price. I will
definitely be returning to Harris Quon if my Nissan decides to
misbehave again.

Excellent mechanics. This is an honest group of people who accommodated me quickly, gave me an quick and truthful assessment, and an awesome price. I ran the repairs by several mechanics in my hometown and was quoted much higher costs! I would highly recommend. If I lived closer I would never go anywhere else.
