I am a woman that may not appear to know much about cars, but they still treated me well, answered my questions without the "you're a girl, you won't understand the answer" attitude, and generally did what I asked them to. The neighborhood isn't great, but they have a good fence, and it's near enough to the bus route if you are desperate for a ride home. I have a car under warranty now, but when it goes out of warranty, I'll go back to the Phibbs' place.

Family members and I have been using Phibbs auto service for routine and big maintenance for about 15 years. This is a great, old-fashioned family business. They are honest, accomodating, and professional. They can diagnose and fix big or small problems and take care of them in a timely fashion. They will give you a ride to work if you need to leave the car for the day, and pick you up, too. Last year when my husband blew the engine in his old pickup, they found us a used engine, and let the truck sit in their yard until we could pay for it. Really nice folks.
