When I bought my 2001 Prius in October of 2012 at 160.000 miles, I took it to them and told them to inspect it and give me an estimate on anything they felt might fail in the next 100,000 miles. They told me I needed new front brake pads, spark plugs, and an accessory drive belt. I specifically asked them about the battery and the transmission and they said they were fine. Since then, now at 206,000 miles, I have had only to replace the 12 V. auxiliary battery (not the main battery). I upgraded the headlight bulbs, buying them at an auto parts store, and then asked Lexpro to install them. I had heard that other garages charged up to $200 for this, claiming that it was necessary to remove the front bumper to do this. Lexpro did the job in about 10 minutes, not removing anything and didn't charge me anything. By the way, the car AVERAGES 45 mpg combined city/highway, year round. It uses less than 1 qt oil between 5000 mile oil changes.
