Top Tech has proven to be a reliable shop. They are not the cheapest in town but they are not as expensive as an auto dealer. They offer services such as pick up and return. My wife can get her oil changed without being inconvienced.

Upload public photo Top Tech Automotive 2417 Lynwood Dr Cleveland, TN 37311‎ (423) Auto Repair ShopToday Closed I recently had a problem with my ignition switch. I am from out of town and did not have my tools with me or I would have completed the simple repair myself. When I had my car towed to Top Tech, I was provided an estimate of over $300.00! I have replaced ignition switches before and I was shocked on how high the estimate was. I quickly called the couple of local parts places to find out the part cost $40.00. Top Tech charged me $70.00 for the part. I then looked on how to change the part on you tube. It takes about 30 minutes, six screws and one plug. That's all. When I asked why it was so expensive for such a simple repair, I was told that they used the standard labor dealer ship rates! I called another local garage to get a second estimate. They gave me a quote to make the repair for $100.00 including the part! I called Top Tech back and told them that I was just going to have my car towed somewhere else. They said that I owed them $89.00 for a diagnostic fee. Another screw the customer fee! Yes, they are listed with AAA and the Better Business Bureau but that basically means that they pay a fee to have their business listed. They claim to have a satisfaction guarantee but that means absolutely nothing. While they did get my car in and repaired in a timely manner, they are the absolute most expensive place to get your car repaired. I would never take my car back to Top Tech Automotive. When I picked up my car, they told me that I needed new spark plugs and wires. They would do it for me for $600.00! That is to change six spark plugs and wires! Another thirty minute job that anyone can do! I can't believe that this place is still in business. If you want to pay the over pay on your automotive repair bills, then I highly recommend them. If you want to have your car repaired efficiently at a much lower cost, then I would recommend that you go anywhere else. Finally, when I did pick up my car, they were unable to provide a copy of my receipt. They also did not return the old part, so as far as I know, they just cleaned the contacts on the old one. You have been warned folks. If you do chose to take your car there, I would recommend that you take a tube of KY Jelly and a breath mint to make it a more pleasant experience. I'm still walking funny from the screwing that I got!

Completed all work they were asked to do. Clean shop and customer waiting area. Does provide (very used) loaner car for overnight work. They performed work much the same as a dealer shop would. Limited to no communication with the mechanic. Owner is very reserved when providing details of the problem which makes one suspicious he is not being fully honest. Biggest problem was cost of inspections and repairs. High hourly rate, billed strictly by the 'book'. Parts mark-up was very excessive. High 'shop costs' added to bill. Overall good experience with service quality but at a VERY high cost. Installed platinum spark plugs at 10 times the price of a parts store. Diagnostic read of engine computer was $90. This should be a courtesy check. Work will get done satisfactorily but be prepared for a major financial hit to your bank account.

I have always had the best service and they get everything done in a timely manner. I have had a lot of experience at getting cars repaired over the years and a lot of automotive shop tend to take advantage of single women, and over charge them because they think they can get away with it. Top Tech never has ever tried to take advantage of me, they have been very generous if anything. Thank you Brent and Sonja!

Our daughter was on her way home from Auburn halfway into a 9 hour drive when her car broke down near Cleveland, TN. I immediately went to the Mechanics Files section of your website to look for someone to help. We had the car towed to Top Tech on a Sunday afternoon. Our girl was back on the road making her way North by mid morning the next day. Top Tech was fast, fair, and caring. Five stars all around!

I went there for a discounted front end alignment because I purchased 4 new tires. I saw a marble 10 Commandments plaque attached to the front desk and thought they might be honest - absolutely not! I asked for a quote for 2 possible repairs and the guy told me they would have to run a diagnostic and it would be $89. So I said okay, but I did not okay any work on my vehicle. We had not heard from them, so my daughter called at 1pm. They hadn’t run the diagnostic yet, but had finished the front end alignment. I get a call at 3:30pm telling me they flushed the heating core and were tracing the wire to find the taillight problem. I never approved any work on the car, they didn’t call with a price, they didn’t give me an option to repair it. I was told the heating core would need to be flushed again for it to heat well. They charged me $149 for the first flush, so we are talking $300 for 2 flushes and the heat might still not work. I would have opted for the more expensive repair, but THEY decided what was to be done. Then they told me the diagnostic was $98. PER HOUR, not the $98 they first quoted me. Fortunately, I pulled the car out of there before they did anything else with it that I didn’t okay. These people are as crooked as they come and try to cover it up with a 10 Commandments plaque glued to the front desk. Get you $80. alignment and get out of there as fast as you can and never go back!
