Shortly after I moved to a new city my check engine light came on. I didn't know enough people to check around for a trusted, reputable mechanic so I took my car to the Toyota dealership and I was less than pleased with the customer service and the price. I decided to get a second opinion and took my car to this place on a whim. The mechanic agreed with that I needed a hose replaced and a new catalytic converter but quoted me a repair and labor price at almost 1/3 of the dealership (almost $1,000 difference). What sealed the deal was that he recommended I get the catalytic convertor replaced at a transmission specialist shop even though, he stated, he could replace it, he would rather I went to a specialist and gave me a few shops that would treat me fairly. He replaced my hose in a timely and cost effective manner and I never had those problems again. A few months later I suspected my starter was going out but wasn't sure. I had these folks check it and while the problem wouldn't replicate for them at the time they also suspected the starter. The same mechanic worked with me and stated that he was 95% sure it was the starter but didn't want to do anything until he was 100% sure. When it happened again I had the car towed there and sure enough I was given a new starter. When I was ready to purchase a new car I had it taken to these folks to get a check over and they did a stellar job. I recommend all my friends to this mechanic because I have never encountered a mechanic so ethical and willing to help the customer.
