We had a bumping/thumping on a Tundra pickup especially when accelerating from a stop. I searched the internet for a solution or even a description of what was causing the issue to no avail. Finally we took it to Pop's Garage. Initially they replaced a collar around the universal joint that was weakened and starting to break apart. The noise subsided but later came back. We took it back and they noticed the drive shaft was bad. They quickly got the part in and replaced the drive shaft. It's been over a month now and no more thumping noise. We also had them replace the timing belt on another vehicle. They were timely with the repair and charged us a reasonable price. I believe the shop owner to be fair and honest. I overheard him, on the phone, telling the family of a customer with a mental impairment that the repairs to the gentleman's car would cost more than the car was worth. The shop owner said that he'd be happy to make the repairs but he thought they'd be better off to take the money they would have spent in repairs (which was substantial but I can recall the exact dollar amount) and apply it to the purchase of a different car. I couldn't hear the other end of the conversation but the shop owner said he couldn't sleep at night knowing that he'd taken advantage of someone. To me, that is important. I highly recommend this shop.

I've given Pop's my business several times, and I have been highly and consistently pleased with the garage, both with its services and the people who provide them. I first had several small repairs done at Pop's, and then, later, I bought a car there. Eventually the car developed a couple minor issues, and Tom and co were quick to fix me up, every time, quickly and professionally. Additionally, I should note that I've encountered several other customers of Pop's, and all had nothing but good things to say. I see myself patronizing Pop's for any future car repairs I might need, and I would gladly recommend it to any potential customers. Thanks, guys!
