Every time I go in, they voluntarily take the time and not
only explain the problem they found, but show me the problem
as well. They also advise on whether or not the problem
should be fixed. They are the first mechanic I have ever
been to where I feel like I am being taken care of, not
taken advantage of! I love them!

This is the first mechanics shop I've been to where I really
feel I can trust these guys. The last time I brought in my
VW for a check up, these guys went the extra mile. While my
car was up in the air, they showed me the under carriage,
explained all of the things that have and haven't been done
to my car and even gave me a rough timeline to plan future
repairs! Very honest and helpful!!

For import autos they are one of the best independent shops in the area. However, their prices can be very high, but they usually get the job done right. They know most imports but I had one incident where I had to take my car to another shop to get it repaired as what they failed to fix the problem. Overall they are about as good as it gets for independents import shops.

Cliff Hudson is the most thorough, stand up guy I've met in the car repair
business.
Cliff makes you feel like family.

They did an awesome job solving and then fixing a
problem with the clutch on my audi. It drives like a
dream now. It really feels like a new car. Their prices
can be high but you never have to take it back, they fix
the problem the first time. I just wish they were located
near public transportation for easier pick up and drop
off.

I have had nothing but good experiences there, especially
with John who has taken great care to explain things and do
the most conservative and cost-efficient repairs for me.
This is the most customer-friendly auto repair shop I've
ever had the pleasure to do business with and I highly
recommend them.

1) Their address is 1072 Johnnie Dodds Blvd in Mt.
Pleasant.
2) We've dealt with them for about 15 years. They were
recommended by a friend. They had accidentally driven his
car off the wrong end of a service lift, and replaced the
car for him without quibbling. Our experience has not
been that dramatic, but we agree that they are completely
honest.
3) They are not cheap. You pay for quality.
4) They have strong ideas about what is needed when. When
I asked them to replace some filters, they explained that
it wasn't necessary at that time. I would have had to
bang on the counter to get them to do it. On the other
hand, they insist on servicing our 2005 Honda Civic every
5K miles instead of every 10K miles (which is the
manufacturer's recommended interval). Whether they're
right or wrong, I'm sure they believe they're right and
are not just trying to rip me off.
5) They offer rides to people in Mt. Pleasant. We live 20
miles away, so we have to get to/from on our own. They
are worth the extra inconvenience for us.
6) They now limit their practice to a few makes
(Honda/Accura and Toyota/Lexus, I believe).

Would never take our cars anywhere else.
They are pricey but "you get what you pay for".

Honest and thorough--you just can't find better in the
business than Cliff Hudson and his whole crew!
