My wife and I have taken our cars to Donlevy's for over 5 years now and we've never been disappointed. Bob and Greg (Bob's very capable No. 2 guy) take the time to explain the problem so that anyone can understand. The best thing they do is follow the golden rule: Bob and his employees always treat people in a fair and friendly manner. Bob even told us to take our Acura to the dealer for a free muffler repair, telling us that Acura guarantees their exhaust parts for life. Bob gave up a $200-plus job to save us that money; there are very few mechanics who would do that. It's just a two-bay garage, so they can get very busy at times. But you can't beat Bob for great work at very reasonable prices and, above all, honest and fair treatment. I'd recommend Donlevy's Auto Service to anyone in the Harrisburg/York area.

Great parts department for the do-it-yourselfer. I once needed a tiny little clip, and they gave me one for free. I've had a few service operations done there, they fixed a problem that didn't exist, but made up for it by fixing the actual problem for free. Price really isn't as bad as some private shops. Local brake and muffler shop gets $75, Apple (Heritage) Honda gets like $67. They use the right parts. They call when they say they will, and the car has always been ready when I get there.

We've been taking our cars here for about 3 years now and have had good experiences. When my husband's car had ongoing problems, Bob took the time to find out what was wrong. Recently, after a brake job, my car began making a noise, and when I took it back, Bob explained to me that something had gotten bent and very quickly fixed the problem. Prices are very reasonable and we haven't been disappointed in the service.

ook suv to get inspected and emission 900 for break work and sway bar linkage ok fair took car in for inspection emission said I had a headlight out which I didn't and said exhaust was leaking which was not want to charge me 600 for exhaust around 700 total with inspections also were going to charge me extra for parts to be there same day found out because he made a slip up and told me if I waited a day it would 100 less if I never told him I could afford the 700 he would have never said about waiting and nocking off 100 bucks word of advice avoid this place and check your lights before going so as not to be ripped off by them saying one is out that should go to anyplace because a lot of garages do that

Rip off! These guys present themselves as professionals and have you believe that you are in capable hands, then find reasons to charge more labor and install parts that they get for 1/3 the cost they charge you. I brought my car into them because they are close to my neighborhood and I found out that after I picked my car up, it was still not right and took it to a known, reputable repair business in Harrisburg and they showed me what Donlevys had replaced and how much labor it should have taken and how much the part should have cost at a suggested list price. When I Donlevys gave me the estimate on repairs, they gave me the choice of letting them do the job (get screwed) or charge me an astronomical price for putting it back together. Take it or leave it.
