A friend of mine who didn't have much money coming in from
the business he started when he first came to the West
Chester area talked to Fran Pardo, the owner of Pardo
Automotive, about getting his car inspected to meet the
requirements of the Pennsylvania Vehicle SafetyInspection
Requirements. He told Fran that he didn't have much money
and that he didn't want to any items worked on unless it was
required to meet those Safety Inspection Requirements.
I am a mechanical Engineer with over 50 years experience in
the engineering field, and with auto repair and maintenance
of mostly my vehicles. I told Fran that I would like to
have an arrangement with him whereby I would do as much of
the auto R & M as I could handle from a technical, or time
constraint and he agreed to work with me. Fran and his ASE
Certified mechanics have the latest in diagnostic equipment
and use an Internet service to provide guidance on
troubleshooting. In every M & R action, Fran has taken the
time to explain to me what he has found and what needs to be
done to correct the problem. In 100% of the time he has
correctly diagnosed and corrected the problem (a record that
Tom & Ray would be happy to be able to duplicate).
My son who is a Civil Engineer has also done a lot of his
own auto M & R, and when I raved to him about Pardo's shop
he was skeptical because of experiences he has had with auto
mechanics. But he went to Fran with his first problem and
experienced first hand what I had, that Fran and his crew
are top notch, he is now (also) a believer.

A fellow who was a life coach who had moved down to the West
Chester about 4 years ago told me he needed a PA State
Safety Inspection of his car. He went into Pardo's and told
Fran Pardo that he didn't have much money and wanted only
the work done to meet the state's safety inspection. It was
done to his satisfaction.
On another occasion, he then took the car in to Pardo's and
told Fran he needed some body work done ASAP, because he
needed it for his business which still wasn't providing much
income- he was thrilled with the work and cost.
I am a mechanical engineer with over 50 years experience in
the engineering field and do much of my auto repair and
maintenance myself if I have the time and capability for the
work in question. After hearing my friend rave about Fran
Pardo, I went into his shop, told him that I would like to
rely on him for the things I couldn't handle. He agreed.
He has ASE Certified Mechanics, his shop is equipped with the
latest diagnostic equipment, and he has an internet service
that provides the latest troubleshooting documentation. In
every instance where I have needed his his shop's
assistance he or his mechanics have determined the repairs
needed, explained what they needed to repair or replace, and
did the job well.
I told my son who is a civil engineer and has worked on his
cars for over 25 years about my experience with Fran and his
shop. He likewise found Pardo's shop to be exceptional.
