My Volvo 740 would infrequently lose power and stall while driving at highway speeds. After a minute or two, the car would restart and run fine. Numerous attempts by my old mechanic could not fix the problem. Despite not being able to duplicate the problem at his shop, Colin Dougherty suggested replacing 3 ignition relays. Replacing the relays has fixed my problem and kept the car running without incident. Besides that, Colin has a brightly lit, clean shop, with friendly and courteous folks working there.

Dougherty's has serviced our cars for 13 years, two Audis and one Volvo. I've always found them to be competent, honest, thorough and respectful. They're not cheap, but then they service only German and Swedish cars, with an emphasis on Volvos, Porsches, Audis, and BMWs. They always provide loaners, always Volvos with unbelievable mileage; I've had ones with nearly 400,000 miles on them. Beat up maybe, but always driveable.

They are a quality shop that I used for nine years prior to moving out of the area. Their prices are fair. I would not call them cheap, but their work is high quality at a fair price. I recommend them without reservation.

I have been dealing wiih them for decades. Find them to be absoultly top notch. They have also worked on my Audis Saabs, and Porsches. Can't say enough good about how they treat customers. Granted, they are not the cheapest shop in town but you get more then you pay for. I would rather pap a little more upfront and know that all will be well and they didn't just throw parts at it. No, I'm not getting paid for this, just want to promote a shop that deserves a great pat on the back for a job well done - time after time.

I like these guys a lot - they work on Saab on Porsche too - they do performance upgrades which is why I went to them but they do general repairs too - Ryan Diehl is the guy I deal with & he's very good - the free loaners are a big plus (old Volvo 240 warhorses that my daughter hates to drive but are in decent condition and a testament to Volvo durability)
