We've used Chris for ages. Chris originally started in the Secane location after
working for someone else for quite a long time. He reached the point where
he wanted to open his own shop, and started by leasing the bays in a station
that no longer offered service themselves. When his initial lease was up, he
was doing so well that he took over the whole station, switched it from
Texaco to Sunoco, and continued to offer great service. Our family has 3
Volvos, and except for incidental work that may have been done while we
were away from home (a muffler, for example on our Summer 2006 Texas
trip or a super sale on tires somewhere), Chris has done everything for us.
When my son bought his used 940 Volvo 5 years ago, Volvo wanted
1400-1500 to bring everything "up to snuff." Chris looked at the estimate,
said some of the stuff was needless, and did everything that was really
needed for around $400. That was 5 years ago. The latest repair to my own
Volvo wagon was $60 less than his initial estimate. Chris and crew simply
know their stuff. We've recommended him to all of our family and friends, and
are happy that several of them have taken us upon our suggestion of making
Chris Hunter's Auto Repair their mechanics of choice. By the way, how do I
know all of this about Chris? Because he's always willing to talk to his
customers.
