CJ's is not what it used to be. I lived in Lititz for years and they used to do good work on our cars at reasonable prices. Over the last 3-5 years, prices have continuously gone up without an increase in the quality of the product. My current car is a Ford Focus. Several years ago, we got all 4 tires replaced/balanced/etc. as well as getting the alignment fixed (gotta love Fords) and got CJ's Waranty on the tires. About 8.5 months after that when we had the car inspected we were informed that the tires we had wouldn't last until the next inspection. We had put maybe 20,000-30,000 miles on them, getting them rotated every 5-7 thousand miles and never heard anything from them. They tried every excuse to get out of replacing them under either their or the manufacturer waranty, however I had copies of receipts for every single thing they did to the car to show it was nothing we did (they even tried to fault me for "screwing up the alignment doing oil changes myself", this fell apart quickly when I pointed out that my garage has a drop down area for doing underbody work without lifting the car up or using risers). Eventually the wear was so bad that they replaced the tires with the new models (cashing in what was left on the waranty for the old tires to help pay for the new ones), however they did not offer me a new warranty from them telling me at the time that it would transfer to the new tires. Fast forward (tires installed about 89,000 on the car) the left rear tire blows out on the highway with my wife and 2 young children in the car, they tell me that I have no Warranty on the tires (Won't even acknowledge the Manufacturer Warranty) and they didn't even have the needed tire anyway.
I don't know what has happened to the shop, but once this tire issue is resolved, I will never bring another car to them for overpriced repairs and terrible customer service.
