I cannot recommend John and the other guys at West Shore Auto Care strongly enough. As someone who knows very little about cars and has had her share of problems with them, a trustworthy mechanic is worth his weight in gold to me. John and the guys have really taken care of me. At times, they could have made money off me and didn't. (Like when I pulled in and told them I thought I needed to buy new tires. John looked my tires over for me and said no, I could get some more wear out of them.) I absolutely trust them. They have proven to be knowledgable about prolems with cars, are great about explaining problems and what repairs are likely to cost, and have just been all-around good people to deal with. I was so sorry to have to leave them when I moved out of the area. I would consider driving a couple of hours to their place if I ran into additional car problems!

I have been taking my cars there for years. From inspection to replacing rack and pinion. Always explained things to me, and gave me a hard number before work. Work done in good time, and they show customer respect. I've been a shadetree mechanic for over 30 years, and they know their stuff, and do it well.

John takes care of his customers. If you have a unique or emergency problem, he fits you in and/or will talk to you on the phone about an issue you may have. He is a practical person to deal with and works well with the customer to decide how to handle repairs.

A good mechanic is a treasure. I have been a customer for years. John is courteous and explains what needs fixed and why, and he gives an estimate beforehand that is usually spot-on. Trustworthy. Has a good team, too.

I called to get an estimate after the dealer quoted $1500 for several repairs on my Mercedes GLK. The same repairs cost me only $900 at West Shore Auto Care. They showed me the old parts and the OEM boxes that the replacement parts came in. So I knew I had gotten quality parts, not some cheap knock-offs. The work was done the same day and my car runs great. I will being going back and sending my friends to them.
