Dear Folks, I have had my cars serviced by the Gebbie family owned and operated business for the past 20 years. I have used other service centers in the area. However, Gebbie's is my favorite. They answer all of my questions and do only the work that is necessary. They also advise me on future potential/expected service needs according to their experience by make and model. I consult with them when buying a new or used vehicle. They take the time to review their reasons for certain recommendations. They don't hesitate to recommend a new vehicle when they think the price and quality of the car is excellent even though they realize that I probably will use the new car dealership for service until it is out of manufacturer's warranty. These folks have a great sense of humor, they're efficient, and they serve a number of varieties of free coffee blends while my car is being serviced. They are always busy, but they will take a few minutes for a friendly chat and they treat every customer in a respectful manner. Its not uncommon tor the mom and dad who started the business many years ago, to stop by to lend a helping hand to their children who now manage and run the business. The Gebbie's somehow manage to combine their up to date technical knowledge, equipment, and mechanical expertise to create some of the nostalgia of the past which is built on good old honest and knowledgeable service. The cost of repair is on par with what most auto repair services charge in this locale. I can count on getting a competent repair or service interval work done to specification and they use high quality parts. They also can frequently give several service options depending on one's budget and service needs. Although their humor isn't as funny as "car talk" each family member has a different personality and I've have a good share of laughs and interesting stories when visiting their service center. FYI, Tom Gebbie is the service manager. I'm glad to recommend this service center to others who live in this area. Sincerely, George Renno

Choosing a car repair shop has always been a major trauma for me. I know zero about cars. However, I love my 1990 Honda and plan to keep it forever so finding a reliable shop that does not condescend to women is important to me. Gebbie's came highly recommended by several trustworthy sources. What sold me, though, was when I called up to ask how much four new tires would cost and right away I was told they didn't think I needed new tires. They remembered me from over 6 months before AND they remembered my tires! So there I was, ready to plunk down the bucks for four new tires and all I paid for was repairing one. That is some serious honesty. In addition, the store section - lottery, snacks etc. - is immaculate. You can wait for your car and have free coffee or they will give you a ride home or to work. This place is terrific. Patty Mc April 2007

This is a family-run gas station/auto service/mini market- 2 sisters and 3 brothers, started by their dad. They have the cleanest restroom (in a gas station) on earth- it must be because of the sisters! The Gebbies are friendly, honest and quite competent (and fun!) The shop is clean, organized and totally dependable. Anyone who brings a car there is in good hands.

When we moved to the area we had to rely on a recommendation for car service. A co-worker recommended Gebbie's and we have been going there for eight years. They explain everything thoroughly when repairs are needed, give prompt service and all the workers are very respectful of their customers' cars and times. Highly recommended

They have worked on three different cars for me with various problems and have always done the job right. When there was a glitch in a repair (this only happened once) they were able to fix it quickly. This was an unusual situation with the car in question. We no longer own that car. They were even helpful when we were in the process of buying a used car giving us information on makes, models, years, and dealerships they felt would give us a good deal.

I brought my car to Gebbie's from reading the reviews on these Mechanics' Files. I think they are quite competent mechanics and I am sure they know what they are doing. But I felt a little uncertain if what they were telling me was the truth abt a belt that they said needed to be replaced. It was probably true, but I never saw the old damaged one. The main issue is their prices. They have a bit of overhead being that it is located in a gas station and convenience store, so I suppose they need to charge more. Their inspection price is about $25 more than other shops I priced. If you are willing to spend some extra bucks for auto service, go here. If you need to save some money and get a repair done that costs less, I would recommend going elsewhere.
