In early Dec. of 2008 I was driving from Ohio to Massachusetts in my 2002 VW Golf and stopped halfway in Harrisburg, PA, to stay overnight. There, in the parking lot of the hotel my car would not start. No crank, no click, no nothing, though the lights were bright, etc, so the battery seemed good. Not wanting to go to the dealer, I checked in, got on Cartalk.com and found a nearby shop that was highly recommended and specialized in VWs. I called them and they said they were a two-guy shop and they were booked into January. And they recommended J&J, which was about 12 miles away from the hotel. So I called J&J, who said they could help, and had my car towed over there (got AAA plus that tows up to 100 miles, also thank goodness). They soon called back and said it was the starter and they could fix it that day for a price (two hundred and something dollars), or they could get a $50 less expensive starter if I could wait till tomorrow noon. It was too late to start on the road again, so I went with the lower price. So next day, they fixed it, I took a cab to J&J, chatted with the folks and was soon on my way. I was so impressed with the care and responsiveness of the folks at J&J, a husband and wife, I believe.

I bought my son an 03 Audi a4 with 203,000 miles. I knew it would need work but it was his dream car. I took it to J&J with the check engine light on and some other issues. They got me in fairly quickly and did the work on time and well. Very friendly, clean and competent. A couple of days later he needed new wiper blades. I called J&J to see if they had them in stock. Sure! Sent my son over and they installed the blades at a reasonable rate. I'm going back for more when the old Audi needs it.
