I've dealt with Paul and his son Kevin for over 30 years
and several diferent vehicles. They have ALWAYS been fair,
honest, friendly & competant. They do not get mad when I
do my own work, or have oil changed elsewhere. You can
enter the shop to observe if you care to once they get to
know you.

We have been going to Paul's for many years. He has
repaired our daughter's Toyotas and my wife's VW Passat
station wagon. Paul and Kevin are honest and always seem
much cheaper than work done by a dealer. Paul often goes
the extra mile to find a used part or to look for a way to
save us money. We've had a number of car emergencies over
the years in which we needed repair quickly and he has
worked us in and helped us out. We trust Paul completely
and he has never given reason to doubt (unlike many other
repair places). Paul does a good job of explaining not only
what is wrong with the car but also what likely caused the
problem and how it might be solved. He talks to my wife
exactly the same way he talks to me. My daughter, who is
very sensitive to men talking down to women, has no problem
with anyone at Paul's garage.
Two weeks ago my wife's 2000 VW station wagon finally had a
major disaster. The turbocharger died, stranding my wife in
a cloud of white smoke. We had the car towed to Paul's and
he ran tests to determine the cause. He told us what
installing a new turbocharger would cost and then promptly
began looking for a used one and found one but has continued
to investigate whether one can be obtained at a lower price.
He also contacted someone to find out what we could get for
the unrepaired car (in case we decide not to repair it).
He's been incredibly helpful, as usual.
Paul walked us through why repairing it and trading it in on
a new car might have some financial advantages, but he left
the decision up to us and there was no pressure to act
quickly. His patience made an otherwise stressful situation
much less stressful than it might have been.
He let us leave our dead VW on his lot until we had located
a new car to buy and traded in the VW. Then we had to force
him to charge us for his time. His bill? $95.
We recommend Pauls' highly.

Our 1994 Ford Aerostar served us well on a cross-country trip from LA to
Boston. But, on the return trip, via Pennsylvania, we had the dreaded
conversation, "Do you hear that noise?"
We picked Paul's because of the favorable review on Cartalk. Not only did Paul
take us right away -- he came in on his normal day off, replaced the wheel
bearings, and got us back on the road with only a day's delay. He worried a
little about our getting back on the road immediately, but the van was fine for
the entire return trip, and has been problem-free since then.
It's a family-owned shop that's fun to visit with. If we lived near Paul's, he'd be
our regular shop.

Paul and Kevin are always friendly and helpful. They go out
of their way to look at or work on my car. I'm glad I have
been taking my car there for inspections and oil changes so
that when a big repair comes I know I will be well taken
care of.

I brought my car in with a strange sound from the right front wheel at 11:30am on a Friday. Kevin and I took it for a spin around the block and within 10 seconds he knew it was bad wheel bearing.
So I stuck around for 20 minutes until he had a look at it to be sure and could give me a time/cost estimate. He offered a ride back Lehigh University (my college) but I had a friend coming to get me.
4 hours later he called me back and everything was done for an excellent price (based on my research).
So to sum this up:
This guy took my car in without prior notice, worked through lunch, offered me a ride home, had it fixed quickly and charged me a good price. YOU CAN'T BEAT THAT.
I would recommend these guys to anyone in the area. You will not be disappointed.
