I have been taking my cars to this shop for many years - even after it was no longer convenient for me to do so - simply because they do such good work and never pad the bill. They can afford this because, as a father/son shop, they have very low overhead. Also, I agree with the rating you have for Valley Specialists in Salem. I always took my Honda there and was very pleased with that firm, too.

This shop was recommended to me by a mechanic at Les Schwab tires because they (Les Schwab) don't work on possible engine issues. The owner of Sunnyside Repair runs this shop with his son. I believe he is ethical and does not over charge for repairs. I have had them do several maintenance jobs for me and they attempted to repair a difficult 'check engine light, check break system light, and alarm' that comes on at times when the car is in idle. They were not successful with this, but did not charge me for several hours of their time and effort. I will take the car to the dealer and be charged an arm and a leg and just hope they may be able to find the problem. I will continue to take my cars to Sunnyside Repair and will recommend them to friends and family.
