Most recently, I wanted to purchase a new used car and asked them to do the pre-purchase inspections. The first two cars they checked for me they stopped the inspections and did not charge me further when they found mechanical problems which caused them to be unable to recommend the car. The first car was $56 and the second was $14 (when they discovered a blown head gasket!). The third car was a keeper and they suggested a tune up and new gasket on the transmission pan for a cost of less than $250. I can't say enough good things about this shop.

When my car stopped working one day, my husband (a lawyer -- an important clue here) told me I had sucked a valve and now needed a new engine. As a poor newly-married couple, we parked the car for two months and carpooled (something, we later determined, that we do not do well together). Finally, I saved my $20 bills and took my car in to Reborn on a friend's recommendation, told them that my husband thought I needed an engine, and braced myself for the bad news. When they called me, the first question they asked was, "What does your husband do for a living anyway?" When I told them, they said, "Oh, now we get it." Turns out the alternator belt was broken -- a $50 job. In exchange for my gratitude, I had the long-overdue brake job done as well.

These folks are honest, friendly, creative (theY hard wired a play phone in a friend's car so she could "belong" in the hang up and drive era) They've been able to accommodate us and dozens of friends over the years with great service and recommendations. You can generally get them to repeat at least half of the most recent CAR TALK show verbatim and what they don't recall they make up from their own extensive repetoire. You will not see a "TIPS" jar or a "BOAT PAYMENT" barrell at the counter which is refreshing

They are not necessarily the cheapest, but I can trust them completely (which ends up being less expensive). I have been going to them for years and they are like friends. I can say "just do what you think has to be done" and know that I won't be oversold or ripped off. Hanging out in the waiting room, it's amazing how everyone coming to the counter seems to have a positive and personal relationship with these folks.

I agree with the other comments registered here. Carl, Vince and the guys do outstanding work. They take the time to explain what's going on and what your options are. What really impressed me the first time I walked in was how clean the garage was; they are true professionals. Although not the cheapest in town, I think it's worth paying a little more for quality work, honest opinions and excellent customer service.

I don't know about other customers, but the way I am treated
makes me feel as if I were a family member of the Re-Born staff.

I've had multiple good experiences with them, and they've
always been very fast and good at communicating with me.
On numerous occasions, they haven't charged me for things
they've done. Once, they thought something would be more
minor to fix than it turned out to be. Because of that
completely understandable and unavoidable mis-estimation,
they charged me quite a bit less for everything that was
required.
They have a VERY nice waiting room and lobby, but I've never
had to spend any time there, because things are ready when
they say they are and they move quickly.

Vince took the time to discuss options with me, including
pros and cons and cost saving options. They took care of my
car problem within a couple of hours, mean while I was
happily entertained with magazines and coffee in their clean
and comfy waiting area. I didn't use it but I hear they
provide a shuttle service too. I highly recomend Reborn.
