I feel that this is a great shop and they are very nice and professional, they treat me with respect, which as a woman is very refreshing in an auto shop, and they offer bus tickets to get around while your car is there. Great location too. I do think they are quite expensive though. I think I paid $60 for an oil change last year? It's hard to find a good mechanic that you like and trust but I do feel like the prices are rather excessive. Then again maybe I am just out of touch with auto service prices these days since I don't drive much.

They are just the best. They do a great job, I totally trust them. If I can fix the problem myself, they'll explain to me how to do it. Their prices are a little expensive, but it's definately worth it to have someone competent working on my car. Plus, is much cheaper than bringing my car to jiffy lube, and having them screw me out of $50 extra, with their "...um, can I show you something?" thing that they always do!

I have brought both of our cars to this shop for repairs and have found the mechanics to respond both honestly and in a timely manner. They have not pushed me into any unnecessary repairs. In fact, the first time I brought a car in for steering issues, they drove it and told me it was likely just a bubble in the power steering fluid (and it has, in fact, done just great in the year since). The second/third times, with cooling system problems, they explained not only why it shouldn't be repaired, but even why further testing was a waste of money (although they'd be happy to do it if I so chose). Everyone I have spoken to there has shown an enormous amount of patience in explaining the problem to me and answering my questions, and I have found them to be more than reasonable with their cost. I highly recommend Hawthorne Auto Clinic.

They are always helpful. Not really being a car person, they always explain exactly why my car needs whatever it needs. They are helpful in prioritizing any work. They are always very nice on the phone. They are near my house and always give bus tickets so I can get to work.

A good shop. Prices are pretty high compared to other mechanics I've used. But they are easy to deal with and diagnose and fix problems the way they should be -- straightforward. I may look around, however, because the costs on some jobs are too high, and it may be worth it to my bottom line to deal with a little bit of hassle to get a better price.

HAC is, by far, the best shop I've ever worked with. Even though their prices might be a bit more expensive than others, their service is a great value in the long run. I find them to be 100% trustworthy -- clearly, they are interested in building lifelong customers instead of making a quick buck. I recommend their services to my friends without hesitation, and that says a whole lot!

Liz and Jim run a great shop. I highly recommend them to all my friends, and the rest of you all too.

"Buy nice or buy twice." I have never been dissatisfied with the work HAC has done on my vehicle. With their help, I'll make the goal of keeping my '96 Toyota T100 humming along for 350,000+ miles.
