I purchased my used 1986 Saab 900-T in 1998 with 112K miles. The previous owner had all the records, so I knew which work had been done prior - very helpful! All the work had been done by TScandia Motors, so I decided to stick with them since they knew the car . . . I AM SO GLAD I DID !!! Now, 10 years later, thanks to the care at TScandia Motors (20 years worth!!!) . . . my Saab 900-T has 221K miles. It has been because of their whole team that I have had such a positive experience. Karen works the front desk, Regina is the GM, Susie manages the parts dept, while Ben & Raymond are the car doctors (Ben-Saab / Raymond-Volvo). The personal touches and compassion to your "wallet concerns" are undoubtedly owed to the fact that TScandia is one of the few surviving Family-Run businesses left. I emphatically advise you to give TScandia a try! They consistently give friendly, educational, outstanding service with honesty & integrity -and they back all of their work. Priceless find!!!

After an initial positive experience at this shop, I took my 97 Saab in twice more with disastrous results. The first time was for a complete service, in which the wrong spark plugs were installed, resulting in the eventual destruction and extremely expensive replacement of the electronic distributor system (by another shop). The second was for some brake work that resulted in a permanently disabled ABS sensor that wrecks the ABS system. My attempts to deal with the ABS problem were met with extreme defensiveness, so I didn't attempt to get them to pay for the distributor problem. Maybe they're good at Volvos, but I wouldn't recommend taking your Saab there.

I have been driving Saabs for nearly 30 years. I found T. Scandia Motors over 20 years ago and have been taking my car there ever since. I take my car there for everything - even oil changes. I completely trust everyone at T. Scandia. Whenever my car needs any repair, Ben, one of the owners, tells me whether the repair needs to be made immediately or whether it is something that just needs to be watched and a repair made later. T. Scandia specializes in Saabs and Volvos. T. Scandia is a family-owned business and nearly all of the family members work there in one capacity or another. They take great pride in their work. I will continue to take my car there as long as I drive a Saab.

T. Scandia is a family owned business specializing in Volvos and Saabs and Subarus. I have been going to them for 30 years and have always had excellent service. 10 years ago I moved to Seattle, and I still take my car to Oregon, so they can service and repair it. I shudder to think of having to go to any other mechanics.

I have been taking my 2003 Volvo S60 to T. Scandia Motors for regular inspections and any needed repairs since 2005, and have been extremely pleased with every visit. Karen and Regina at the front desk are always super nice. The technician Raymond is always competent and thorough with a sense of humility in explaining any problem I am curious about, also honest about damage that could result, if the repair is not performed. All repairs always completely resolved the problem. Their prices are always fair and lower than at the dealer. Sometimes, they even install parts without charging labor! They are truly a jewel in the Portland area, and I recommend them wholeheartedly to any Volvo, Saab (and now also Subaru owner).
