About half the time I go there with my theory of what is wrong, Rich comes up with a vastly cheaper repair. This shop quick, fair, and conventinely located (and getting more and more popular!).

I tried Well's Auto after visiting this site. They replaced a timing belt and the external belts on my Mazda Protege. The next day I had them charge my air conditioner. Both jobs were done well, quickly and at a resonable price.

I wandered in the shady mechanic wasteland until I discovered Wells Automotive in 1993. At that time they were sharing a building with a gas station, but their success has allowed them to move to their own location on Lindsey Rd. They are reliable, fast, fair and all around honest. If my post-school job takes me away from the area, I'll miss this place as much as many things in Oklahoma. They also have cable TV in the clean waiting room and wireless internet for those with laptops. You can keep doing your job on site!

I can't say enough nice things about Richie and the guys at Wells Automotive. They did a great job replacing my engine. I love having a place I can take my car where I know I'm going to get an honest, intelligent assessment of the problem and I won't have my wallet gouged to fix it.

The new location is _much_ nicer than the old place, where they barely had an office. I think they work with you better after a few visits and they get to know you, but they've always done a good job for me. Richie is really honest about the quality of parts available and whether something is really worth fixing.

I recently broke down on I35, heading north to pickup my child at OU at the end of the semester. My Kia Sedona broke down about 40 miles outside of town. I contacted AAA who had me towed to Norman and selected a different automotive repair shop as their "preference". I checked online and saw that Wells Automotive had a couple better comments regarding service and repair. I left a voicemail with them informing them of the "new" vehicle in the parking lot, as they were already closed. At 7:20am (technically before they opened) they called to inquire regarding the voicemail I left. Understanding that I was already one day behind schedule, they immediately took a look at the vehicle, diagnosed it as a dead alternator (had already proactively started searching for a replacement alternator in anticipation that this was the issue), received the alternator, installed and tested it and had me on my way by about 9:30am. Customer service was awesome, repair was top notch, and if I lived locally, they would be my "home" service and repair shop. My child will have a vehicle on campus next year and this is where she will bring it for any issues or standard maintenance.
