We had a 22-year-old Datsun that Tom kept running very well. All of the mechanics in the shop are excellent, and all of them know their limits. Tom is a very dependable, honest man who will treat your car the same way he treats his. They are very reliable, although sometimes slow, and will not promise something they can't deliver. At times he would say "I think we can set the timing (or carburetor) so the car will. . ."; sometimes they could, and sometimes they couldn't. However, they were always willing to try whatever we wanted to have done, even if (as in the case of the Datsun) they told us they thought the repair was not worth doing. This is an excellent shop, and they still know how to work on older cars. I highly recommend them for any repair work they say they can do.

Tom is great! I got their info off of this referral page; they were probably the fifth place I called to have my rotars and pads replaced. While everywhere else was going to charge me almost $300 for brakes, Tom was much more reasonable (and closer to cost) at $175. I have a good friend who is a great mechanic, but he lives too far away for me to drive when I have car crises...but he can price parts for me and diagnose my car via telephone (!), so it's nice to know there's a place here that isn't gonna try to screw me because I'm a woman. Thanks Tom!!
