I have gone to Dan ever since I could drive. My parents have been going to him since I was 5 and I am now 35. I have always had good interaction with them. He has always been up front with what needs to be done and will also let me know if he can do something else that will accomplish the same result but cost is less such as the time where they cut out a part of a hose instead of replacing the whole setup which would have cost a lot.

I went to Dan Hutten's Auto Shop based on recommendations on CarTalk's website. I was very, very pleased. I have a daughter in college ten hours away from me, and she had a bad ignition coil on her Lexus RX300 which she diagnosed using a code reader I had given her. She know how to change the front three easy-to-reach ones (we had practiced this in case the need arose), but this one was behind the intake manifold and difficult to reach. The shop wisely suggested changing all three rear coils and all six spark plugs in this 140,000 mile vehicle as long as the manifold was off to access the bad coil. I thought this was an excellent idea. I have done this job myself before, and it is no picnic. They generously did not charge me for the additional labor to replace the other parts. The work was done perfectly and quickly. As any father would, I had concerns about how my daughter might be treated as a young and naïve customer. You will see other reviews here by some college dads who will echo my sentiments. You can trust that your car (and your child!) will be well taken care of and treated with respect by Dan Hutten's Auto Shop. This review is very late, but it is important to post this kind of feedback. Thanks, guys! You are the best!
