Vicki is the best!!! She is the single girl's best friend when it comes to car problems. She can calm you down when you think the car will never run right and gets you in for service as quickly as possible. She is wonderful! The mechanics are friendly and very good at what they do. I have never had a problem with any of the work I had done and they babied my '86 Ford Tempo through until 1997. What does that tell you??

The Management is VERY money hungry. Look out if you go there to very high prices. Every little thing is going to cost something. There is no such thing as a freebee at Payne's and often things are much more expensive than they need to be.

I know the person who said we were money hungry, he came in on a very busy day and wanted his battery and charging system checked. We checked them and said he needed a battery and that his charging system was O. K. He wanted us to price out a battery and we did. It was an interstate 5 year battery. Parts and labor came to about 100 dollars. He said that was to much and he could get a discount battery. I said good go ahead and told him to have a nice day. No charge. I usually charge 15 dollars for this service but he had a flordia li. plate so I let him go. Now his jeep would not start and we had to jump it to get him started. No charge. He killed the engine and we had to jump it again, this time I said 5 dollars and he got irate, he called me money hungry. Fair is fair and he needs to come back to earth. Thanks, Robert Payne=== Owner, Payne's service

I own Payne's service but because of my bad hip I do not work on cars any more. I still stay certified as a master tech and have recertified three times. My shop is family owned and operated. Vicky runs the office and tell the mechanics what to do. My men have been with me for over 35 years total. I have been there 42 years. My mother and father still come in and help. We can not fix every car but we tell you why we can't. We try to recomend someplace that can do what we can't. Yes we charge for what we do but that's it. Vicky loves to talk to the customers and show them their old parts, not like the dealers who just collect money and let you go on your way.

My family has been bringing cars to Paynes for about 25 plus years and they are about as honest as it gets. I've gotten tires, oil changes, new radiators, electric window assemblies, suspension work, and countless other work done. they always lay out all the options, and costs, in black and white. They get the work done quickly and always back up their work. I recently bought a new car that is still on warranty, but have done my best to send my friends their way. If you need a good mechanic, look no further.

Payne's is a family-owned/operated business. They are careful and honest and competent and do everything possible to help you keep the costs of repair down. When you need something minor done, they will often do it free. I've taken cars there for many years as have family members and friends. I recommend Payne's.
