Recently relocated to Columbus, my faithful Taurus died on the way into work. I picked this operation out of the Yellow Pages only because they were close. It was the luck of the Irish. I put myself through schools (several) on the business end of many wrenches and know about cars and repairing them. At this stage in my life and given today's auto technology, what I know is that someone qualified, with the proper tools, should do the work. These guys (ASE certified) did great work: Correctly diagnosed; called with an estimated cost and time; fixed it right the first time and treated me well. I had them keep this old horse running for more than a year; it had more than 135,000 miles on it. Each time it was towed in to their shop, their prices was fair - not cheap, not outrageous. They fixted it right, the first time and advised me about things that REALLY NEEDED attention. The owner's name is Fagan, a talented gentleman. The least I can do is try to send some business his way after the way he treated me.

I called to ask about replacing a radiator. He said he'd call me back in about 10 minutes, and he did. He said it would be $300, and it was. He said it would be about a half-day, and it was. To me, when the mechanic gets back to you when he says he will, the repair costs what he says it will, and it's ready when he says it will be, that's a great car repair experience.

I am an auto repair idiot. I don't know better, and so I always hate when my car needs service. It seeems like my three options are: 1) pay top dollar at dealership 2) take it somewhere cheaper, but spend more on 'recommended' services 3) get lucky and have the repair done correctly for a fair price. I checked cartalk.com for a shop close to home, and was happy to find Full Automotive. The owner answered all my questions, made sure I wasn't requesting unnecessary work, and had the repair finished in about five hours; all for a fair price. All more than I usually expect! I had the car into the dealership for a whole day last month, and all they did was charge me $80 to tell me a switch needed to be replaced. They didn't replace it, they didn't call me to see if I wanted it replaced, they did nothing to fix the problem! I am very happy with Full Automotive. I hope that my experience will benefit somebody else out there.
