I have a 1992 Dodge Dakota which I treat cruelly. Dispite that, the truck has been, up to now, very good to me. It is old, however, and I am not rich, so the guys have always been great about using rebuilt parts and prioritizing what put-off repair will kill me and which will just inconvenience me.

Between 1995 and 2002, CARS worked on 2 '85 Thunderbirds that I owned. One was a Turbo Coup that was my daily driver, and the other was one that'd I'd modified to race in SCCA SOLO events. I knew something about cars, probably just enough to be dangerous, and these folks helped me many times with repairs, adjustments, and modifications. They were always friendly and accomadating to me. Everyone of them. I reccommended them highly to my friends, and if I hadn't developed heart problems, I'm sure I'd still be working with them today.

Found this shop 20 years ago by referal from a friend, who's family has gone to them longer still - sometime shortly after the wheel was invented. Its a family owned and operated business and they treat their customers - who they know by name - as part of the family. In my 40 years of owning and operating a car, these guys are the first ones I feel I can just hand my keys to and I won't just be sponsoring the mechanic's next vacation. They have always been honest with me and my wife and have talked us out of work by saying the car isn't worth the amount needed, but suggested a less expensive way to fix the problem. They as always within the estimate and usually under. They call us if there is something unusual or extra work to be done, no matter how minor, to make sure we approve.

I've had my heater core replaced in my Grand Am 3 times, and each time they fixed it in a timely manner all within the 12 month 12000 mile warranty that they offer with all repair work. I think we just got a few bad parts from NAPA. I highly recommend C.A.R.S for all your auto repair needs

My mom and I used C.A.R.S. from 1984 until 2005. Long before that, my dad had used original owner Ron Stein's (Ron's son now runs C.A.R.S.) service center in an old Sohio station nearby during the 60s and early 70s before he met Bernie Pennell and took our cars to Bernie's on High Street. My mom and I loved C.A.R.S. Charlie Walker, the now-retired ex-service manager, along with Mark (who is now the service manager, I believe) explained everything clearly and didn't patronize her. They really took care of her cars and put her mind at ease. In fact, she trusted them so much that she used the shop's service of buying cars at auctions and purchased two used Accords that way. As for me, I'm in my mid-40s now but I took my cars to them from the age of 23 until my mom moved away from Columbus in 2005. I did this even though I didn't live in Ohio after the age of 18. Whenever I would visit her by car from Chicago or the East Coast I would take my own car in for service. Was never anything less than completely satisfied. It's a great shop, their mechanics are extremely competent, and they treat their customers with great respect and care. My family found over the years of 1960-2005 that Stein's/C.A.R.S. and Bernie's were the two outstanding mechanics in the Clintonville community. Just wonderful places that put your mind at ease.

Clintonville Auto Repair Servicecenter has been working on my cars since 1973 - including my 1966 Mustang, 1989 Ford Escort, and my 1996 Plymouth Breeze. I trust them to do the work right and not cut corners. They charge a fair price and they do quality work. There have been a few hiccups over the years, but they are always more than willing to talk and find solutions -- that's just the kind of good people they are. They have intelligent workers with lots of training and experience. Their loaner cars are clean and well maintained. And I repeat -- I trust them!
