Dick Thomas had the opportunity to sell me a new Air Conditioning compressor. Instead, he encouraged me to contact GM because the compressor should not have failed in only two years. GM did replace it without charge, but only on my second try.

MY DAUGHTERS FORD TAURUS AC/HEATER WENT OUT WHEN THE
TEMPERATURE WAS IN THE 90s. AFTER CHECKING THE FUSE AND
LEARNING THE FUSE WAS GOOD, SHE MADE AN APPOINTMENT WITH
THE FORD DEALER. WHEN SHE ARRIVED, THEY TOLD HER SHE
WOULD HAVE TO LEAVE THE CAR AND IT WOULD COST $90 FOR THEM
TO DETERMINE WHAT WAS WRONG. SHE LEFT. WE FOUND DOWNTOWN
AUTO ON CARTALK.COM. AFTER MAKING AN APPOINTMENT, SHE
BROUGHT HER IN AND WITHIN A FEW MINUTES SHE WAS GIVING AN
ESTIMATE TO REPAIR PLUS PARTS. THE PART(S) WERE ORDERED.
SHE MADE AN APPOINTMENT TO DROP HER CAR OFF ON HER WAY TO
WORK. DOWNTOWN AUTO DROVE HER TO WORK, FIXED HER FORD,
PICKED HER UP DURING HER LUNCH HOUR, THEY DROVE BACK TO
THE SHOP, SHE DROVE BACK TO WORK WITH A/C. THE TOTAL COST
WAS A LITTLE MORE THAN WHAT THE DEALER WANTED JUST TO LOOK
AT THE CAR.
