Don Stewart is the most honest mechanic I have ever encountered. On the top of that he greatly values his relationship with his customers. Years ago when we had difficulties with my car, he told me that he went to church and actually prayed for my car!! Now how better can you be? If he cannot do something he will tell you, he will also take responsibility for anything that did not quite work out. I totally trust him and his shop. The only drawback is the guy is so popular that it takes a long time for them to take care of your car!!

Didn't remove the corrosion from around the wheel before they put the new tire on, so the seal around the bead broke. Ruined the tire, and they refused to replace it. When I said I was going to call the BBB, manager comes out of the back and starts to yell at me. Called me an idiot, said I didn't know what I was talking about and that I didn't make sense. Walked out of there with him still yelling at me.

Last year, the a/c went out in my van. The problem (in addition to no freon) was the condenser. Their estimate was half of the dealership's. Last month, the a/c went out again and when I took it in, they discovered that no dye had been put in the freon, so they didn't charge me for the freon. Two weeks later, the a/c wasn't functioning, and this time, they discovered it was the condenser. The car was 14 miles over the 12000 mile limit and the supplier wouldn't extend the warranty, so Stewart paid for half the cost of the new condenser--and found a new supplier. The manager also told me the guy who did the work last year doesn't work there any more. They are honest, explain the situation fully and take the rap if they screw up (as they sort of did here). They're also friendly and the coffee doesn't taste like sludge.
