My entire family has been going to Siggy for 17 years. He
works on all of our cars. I think that says it all.

I had gotten an estimate elsewhere for $1,300 for work on
my car that just didn't quite sound right - and would take
three days. Siggy tested it properly, explained the minor
problem clearly and had it done in a couple of hours for
less than $100. He was straightforward, professional and
pleasant and gave me a good deal. I am new in the area so
didn't know where to take my car. I am so glad I found
out about him on this website, and will for sure be going
back when needed and have already begun recommending him
to others.

I found S&W on this site when I lived just two blocks away.
It was extremely convenient. Only twice have I left the
car for an entire day, and their proximity to the #30 bee
line bus (with service to Yonkers, Bronxville and New
Rochelle Metro North stations) allowed me to get to work
without any trouble.
I am a woman who was ripped off by a Westchester dealership
shop on more than one occasion. Finally fed up, I found S&W
and I've stuck with them even after moving across the
county. I wish they were closer to my new apartment!

I found S&W via this website and have now taken our car in
twice to them. Very happy with the results.
The first time I took it to him, he gave me an honest take
on the condition of several parts after a Good Year shop
tried to up-sell me to make several repairs.
Based on that experience I brought it back a 2nd time to see
if he could take care of a problem the car has had for a
year. The car was hesitating during acceleration and
backfiring on occasion.
The dealer thought the timing belt has slipped, and another
mechanic suggested (and performed) a tune-up without doing
any diagnostics. Siggy did a proper diagnostic and
determined two of the wires the other mechanic installed had
gone bad and that the ignition coil was bad. Runs as well as
it ever has now!

If you happen to find S and W consider yourself very lucky. Siggy and Ian don't try to sell. they do what is needed. This is and opinion that is shared by all the people I have spoken to while waiting for my car is being worked on and people whom I didn't realize use S and W. I for one know nothing about cars although I put on a lot of mileage and my car is very important to me. It is great to have a mechanic one can trust.
