This mechanic works on all brands of cars & motorcycles, but is especially experienced with Nissans. He can do a better diagnosis over the phone (free) than most can do in person, and I have NEVER had a problem with any repair work he has done....It's timely, reasonable & right. I've got 225,000 miles on my Pathfinder.

Through my years of getting my car serviced, I realized that by nature, car repair shops are not always honest. When I found Skidmore Auto, my mind quickly changed. Jay has to be the most honest person and mechanic I know. I have full trust in him and am confident any problem that he is confronted with, would be handled in a professional mannor. I strongly reccommend Skidmore Auto to anyone with car troubles.

Jay at Skidmore Auto has worked on several of our cars. A Nissan Maxima, a Mazda 626, an old Toyota Corolla, Nissan Pathfinder and a pick up truck. The only thing that he couldn't really fix was a hesitation problem on the Mazda. (Ended up being solved when we tried new spark plug wires despite the fact that they appeared to be fairly new.) Jay is always polite and works hard to get the job done right.

Jay is a great guy and an awsome mechanic. He has either worked on or helped me out with all of the trucks Ive owned. He's always willing to help out on any projects I have, and just shakes his head when I pull up to his shop with my truck of the month. The guys that work for him are also top shelf even if they dont like my '70's Ford trucks (wait til they see my '51 power wagon heh heh) Jay is good people go see him.

I brought my recently purchased 1969 Ford Ranger to Jay on a friend's recommendation. Because of his fine detective work, he was able to isolate and fix an electrical problem that I thought I was going to have to live with.

I purchased a used VW (never again)and learned more about a car than any average person should know. Starting 2 weeks after I got the car it was as if someone hit a button and everything went wrong at once. Each time I had a problem I took the car to Jay or Sean and each time they took care of the problem. Struts, upper and lower hoses, tires, alignment issues, silly idiot alarms on the dash (gas cap was not all the way), engine mount, plugs and wires, and a door that was hard to open and of course every 4000 miles new oil and a paper filter change. Most of the time they knew what the problem was before the car even went into the air on the lift. If you need to see how fast they work on cars just drive by the place in the and everyone brings them in and then after hours when the lot is empty. Very rarely do I see and car in the lot for more than a day. Great guys, great service, only one I'm ever recommended to my friends.
