Dennis Spillman is a virtual know-it-all regarding Volvos and Mercedes Benz. What I like most about Dennis is his practical, no-nonsense approach to fixing something. If he can save you money with a "non-OEM" part which is just as good as the original, he will, but ONLY AFTER consulting with you first. He's saved me lots of money on my Volvo and the baby has 165K on it. He's careful not to dirty the thing up, he adjusts his price fairly, and he's always in a good mood too!

Just an all-around great garage. They're good mechanics, they help people make informed decisions (for example - is something worth fixing or better off left alone), they're honest, and nice folks to do business with.

I once went to get a warranteed muffler replaced at one of the national franchises and when it came time to sign the invoice, the mechanic/salesman approached me in a panic and tried to convince me that I desperately needed new brakes. I went to Dennis at Superior Automotive to verify this. He laughed and said, "You dont need new brakes. You still have xxx fraction of an inch left on your pads and look right here in the NYSDMV (?) book to see what is required to pass inspection. You have plenty left." He could have taken advantage and sold me the brakes and I would have never known the difference,but he is an honest person. He's been servicing our cars for 14 years.

Nice people to work with but have zero sense of urgency when it comes to completing repairs. After waiting 2 weeks to get an appointment for repairs to my older Mercedes, it took over a month to complete some fairly routine repairs (replacing the radiator and oil pan and subcontracting a wheel alignment). During my several visits to check on progress, I witnessed other customers frustration with timeliness so my experience is apparently not isolated.

HALLEJUIA a competent and honest auto shop! They fix EVERYTHING right, for great price value. And, one time they didn't feel comfortable with a transmission repair, they referred me to a trusted colleague and did not charge me for the time they spent diagnosing the issue. This one is simple -- when in need, if you can get your car to this shop, go nowhere else -- Dennis and his team are the gold standard!
