When my transmission died, they gave me a good quote for
putting in a rebuilt transmission. Unfortunately, neither
my wallet nor the mileage on the car would allow for this.
They then agreed to install a "recycled" transmission if I
supplied it. Ive never before or since found a shop that
would install equipment not purchased through them. They
checked out the only transmission I could find and
pronounced it not fit to use (explained and showed me
everything). Rather than leave me stuck, they went against
their policy of using "recycled" parts and got me a good
unit which was less than the price I had paid for the
unusable one. There was alot of extra effort on their part
without an extra charge. The car lasted another 80,000
miles (249,000) before literally falling apart, but the
transmission was still going strong. Their pricing is
probably at least the going rate, but their customer
service orientation and shop ability are worth it.
