When I came to Rochester 8 years ago friends recommended this place, and they still use it, too. They are creative and kind enough actually to repair components rather than replacing them. They resurrected an A/C compressor on a previous car by drilling out and retapping the place where a hose attached to cure a leak. Recently they sanded glazed shoes and turned warped drums after I drove with a partially set parking brake, saving me the cost of replacement. The dealer who USED TO service my wife's car kept *finding* spurious leaks. East Ave Auto checked it out and found none. Now they service her car, too. They have told me when things were NOT necessary when I though they might be. They understand carbueretors, too. Good people!

I've only been here three times, but they've been very personable and honest with me. I had an inspection and they only pinged me on the thing I knew needed replacement, tires. They've also done a break job for me and put tires on for me. They call before doing any work if it looks like their estimate was a little off. I've dealt with many shops in the area including several dealerships and this one is my favorite.
