Wow! Great service and very reasonable prices. Mind you, this is a Volvo dealership/repair shop. Well, Randy saw me and my car, a VW GTi, at my favorite coffee shop and told me my front tires were bald. Well, I knew they were getting bad, but I didn't realize how bad. I spoke with him the same afternoon, he quoted me a price, was honest about other services that may need to be done, such as alignment, etc. I booked the appointment for today, he picked up my car (I work nearby his place), called me with an HONEST assessment after test-driving the vehicle and looking at it in the shop, and brought my car back to me within 3 hours. The BEST service I've ever received. Hands down, so much better than the VW dealership I'd been taking my car to for service and repairs, that I will definitely call him again for routine maintenance and service. Bottom line, especially to the women out there who are afraid every car dealer/service will rip you off, Randy won't!

My Volvo died a block away from this repair shop. They took 3 days and me making 3 phone calls to get a estimate on what was wrong with my car. They could not figure it out. So, they took it to a Volvo dealership in Latham, 10 miles away and signed it in, using my name. The dealership repaired it in a few hours. Great job. When I drove the car home, my power windows did not work. Finds out that Randall Volvo, removed the fuse for the windows and also other parts off my vehicle. I will never use this repair garage for anything.

I recently brought my 2003 Jaguar in to Randall Automotive for a simple oil change, because it was close to home. Prior to this simple oil change, my car did not have any problems whatsoever.. and it never leaked a drop of oil. I park my car in my garage everyday, so I am very aware of any oil leakage. My car runs like a charm and has for the last several years. After the simple oil change at Randall auto, my engine light came on when I was leaving the premise. I immediately shut my car off and went back inside and told them that my car engine light came on an it was not on before I came in here! They told me that it was nothing that they did! I said it wasn't ever on in my car, nor before their oil change. I was so angry. They said "oh it's nothing we did, and it has nothing to do with our oil change. I said again "it wasn't on before I came in here". But They began arguing that it wasn't their fault when it directly was. They did not offer to fix my car at all. So, now my engine light is on and my car is leaking all sorts of oil, and spraying oil after their oil change, and it was running perfectly before I arrived there. Also, I found it very odd that the person that worked on my car said to me "Do you like driving this car?" I said of course, that's why I take care of it, I love driving this car. I believe that he sabotaged my car, so that I would have to bring it back for more repairs, or possibly he wanted me to buy something on their lot. This was a terrible experience, and now I have to pay another repair shop to fix the damages that they did. I am so upset because I believe they did thousands of dollars worth of damage to my car!!!

I needed to write this review because I was treated so well by the staff and owner of this shop. My newish Volvo was having some problems that I couldn't diagnose or fix and within 20 min they had me back on the road--problems eliminated. Maybe I just pulled in as the stars aligned but I got the impression that is just the way they do business. People who have great experiences are a lot less likely to review than those who were less satisfied--I'll bet this review represents many voices. Keep up the good work!

A Volvo owner active on a respected forum suggested I go to these guys when I was having some serious electrical problems. Mouse nest kinda problems! And I’m glad I did. I gave them a horrible job, they evaluated it, quoted a fair price and went to work. And boy, did they have to work. They kept going until everything was fixed, and what a job it was. Electrical problems are mechanic’s worst nightmares, and this was the worst they’d ever seen. But they kept their word when I expected them to throw their hands up in defeat and walk away. The price was not cheap – but good service never is. But it was good VALUE. I got my beloved car back on the road, and they got a loyal customer. Since this issue, I’ve used them for more mundane items – starter motor, suspension issues, etc, and have received excellent service at a fair price. For Volvo, or other foreign cars, this is the only place to go.
